We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining accuracy in all financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Prepare and analyze journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Conduct monthly bank and account reconciliations to maintain ledger integrity. • Manage month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and precise financial documentation. • Monitor and maintain the general ledger to reflect accurate financial data. • Utilize fund accounting software, specifically Abila MIP, for financial management tasks. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices. • Review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness. • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors. • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience in accounting with a focus on month-end close processes. • Proficiency in managing general ledger activities and journal entries. • Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with fund accounting systems, particularly Abila MIP. • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance standards.
