<p><strong>Robert Half</strong> is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to hire an<strong> IAM Engineer (contract-to-hire).</strong> Please note, that this is a hybrid position and requires <strong>3 days onsite per week. </strong>This role focuses on enhancing a Zero Trust architecture, driving standardization, and optimizing a Microsoft-centric identity platform for a distributed workforce. The ideal candidate brings deep understanding in Azure Entra ID, an automation mindset, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts across diverse audiences.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead IAM standardization efforts, including identity lifecycle management, access governance, and policy enforcement across global regions</li><li>Drive automation to streamline IAM administration and improve user experience</li><li>Support onboarding of enterprise applications into Azure Entra ID, including SSO, Conditional Access, and RBAC</li><li>Enhance privileged access management and implement scalable monitoring, alerting, and audit solutions</li><li>Collaborate with IT, Networking, and Security teams to troubleshoot identity-related issues and support infrastructure initiatives</li></ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience</li><li>4+ years of hands-on experience in IAM and cloud automation, with a focus on the Microsoft ecosystem</li><li>Deep expertise in Azure Entra ID, including Conditional Access, Identity Governance, and Privileged Identity Management</li><li>Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Microsoft Graph API</li><li>Experience with Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, and cloud-native services</li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Defender, Purview, Sentinel, and Intune</li><li>Knowledge of SSO protocols including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML</li><li>Understanding of multi-factor authentication and FIDO2 standards</li><li>Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting for identity-related events</li><li>Knowledge of IT security frameworks and compliance standards</li><li>Basic understanding of email security and DNS</li><li>Experience with backup and recovery strategies for identity services</li><li>Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture principles</li><li>Experience using Jira and Confluence for documentation and collaboration</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Contract Benefit Offerings:</strong></p><ul><li>Healthcare (medical, dental, and vision plans)</li><li>401(k) and retirement plans</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Employee and vendor discounts</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>And many more!</li></ul><p><br></p>
