<p><strong>Robert Half</strong> is hiring a <strong>DevSecOps Engineer</strong> to support an Austin-based client on a contract basis. In this role you will proactively address vulnerabilities and architect secure solutions by design. You’ll work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating cross-functionally with engineers and leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable systems. <strong>This position will report onsite in Austin, Texas, (3) days per week.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Build and manage secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure in AWS using services like ECS, EC2, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda, and CloudFormation</li><li>Use tools like Terraform and Terragrunt to manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC)</li><li>Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows</li><li>Continuously evaluate and improve system and application security, with a strong focus on data protection</li><li>Research and integrate emerging technologies, including AI, into engineering and security processes</li><li>Implement and manage security automation tools (SAST, DAST, CSMP)</li><li>Work closely with engineering teams to embed security best practices and “shift-left” principles in development</li><li>Contribute innovative ideas to maintain a competitive edge in technology solutions</li><li>Stay informed on cybersecurity threats, trends, and attack vectors to strengthen defenses</li><li>Collaborate in an Agile environment using tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack</li></ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience</li><li>5+ years managing cloud infrastructure (AWS)</li><li>3+ years in a dedicated DevSecOps or security-focused engineering role</li><li>Expertise in Linux, Docker, containerization, networking fundamentals, and IaC</li><li>Experience managing large-scale deployments and securing multiple AWS accounts</li><li>Familiarity with authentication technologies (SAML, OAuth)</li><li>Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment</li></ul><p><strong>Contract Benefit Offerings:</strong></p><ul><li>Healthcare (medical, dental, and vision plans)</li><li>401(k) and retirement plans</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Employee and vendor discounts</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>And many more!</li></ul>
