We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team in Augusta, Maine. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies, including C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio, to enhance and maintain critical software systems. As part of a long-term contract, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions while collaborating with other developers and stakeholders.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Analyze, design, code, test, and document software solutions to meet business requirements.<br>• Develop enhancements and resolve production issues within the GenTax system using established programming standards.<br>• Implement change requests and track modifications in the Fast Central Repository, adhering to project guidelines.<br>• Coordinate work with fellow developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.<br>• Conduct structured code reviews and walkthroughs to maintain high-quality standards.<br>• Plan and execute necessary process steps to meet project goals and deadlines.<br>• Collaborate with technical and business personnel to address challenges and provide effective solutions.<br>• Continuously improve processes and ensure alignment with best practices.<br>• Present complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.<br>• Provide expertise in database environments and recommend optimal solutions based on past experience.

• Proficiency in programming with C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio.<br>• Strong knowledge of software development processes, including coding, testing, and documentation.<br>• Experience with systems such as GenTax, DV-VS, UI-PL, or similar programs.<br>• Ability to plan and execute tasks independently, with minimal supervision.<br>• Proven expertise in structured code reviews and process improvement.<br>• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.<br>• Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and manage risks effectively.<br>• Familiarity with database environments and modeling techniques.
