HR Director
We are looking for an experienced HR Director to join our team on a contract basis in Augusta, Maine. In this role, you will oversee human resource functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with employment laws. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic development and implementation of HR initiatives while collaborating closely with leadership.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead the development and execution of HR strategies that support organizational objectives.<br>• Establish and maintain positive employee relations, including managing union-related matters effectively.<br>• Create, update, and communicate HR policies to ensure clarity and adherence across the organization.<br>• Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.<br>• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.<br>• Collaborate with executive leadership to enhance organizational performance and effectiveness.<br>• Provide guidance and support to management and staff on HR-related issues and best practices.<br>• Monitor and manage HR compliance programs to mitigate risks and maintain legal standards.<br>• Develop and implement initiatives that drive employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management or a related role.<br>• Proven expertise in employee relations and union negotiations.<br>• Strong knowledge of HR administration, including policies, procedures, and compliance.<br>• Familiarity with compensation and benefits strategies and implementation.<br>• In-depth understanding of state and federal employment laws and regulations.<br>• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.<br>• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage HR strategies that align with business objectives.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
