Litigation Paralegal - Employment & Business
<p>Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their law firm in Buckhead Atlanta, GA. This role will support attorneys in managing complex litigation cases, particularly within the areas of employment and business law. This role involves working on cases in both federal and state courts, with a strong emphasis on federal court litigation. If you have a passion for legal research, document drafting, and trial preparation, we encourage you to apply.</p><p><br></p><p>• Conduct research and analyze legal issues related to employment and business litigation.</p><p>• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, letters, and other legal documents with precision.</p><p>• Manage the discovery process, including document review, production, and preparation for depositions.</p><p>• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for trials, including creating visual aids, models, and mockups.</p><p>• Assist in handling cases involving employment discrimination, civil rights, and commercial disputes.</p><p>• Maintain and organize case files using case management software to ensure accessibility and accuracy.</p><p>• Coordinate filings and submissions in federal courts, adhering to court-specific requirements.</p><p>• Provide support in preparing for hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.</p><p>• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information and documentation.</p>
<p>• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.</p><p>• Certification as a Paralegal (e.g., Paralegal Certificate or Certified Paralegal).</p><p>• Strong knowledge of federal court procedures and experience with federal employment law.</p><p>• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.</p><p>• Familiarity with case management software and document management systems.</p><p>• Expertise in handling employment law cases, including discrimination and EEOC matters.</p><p>• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage complex cases effectively.</p><p>• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with attorneys, clients, and external parties.</p>
