<p>We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team. This is a Contract-to-permanent position offering a dynamic work environment with remote flexibility, requiring occasional in-office presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property and casualty insurance and demonstrate proficiency in accounting processes.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</p><p>• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.</p><p>• Perform regular bank reconciliations to monitor and verify financial transactions.</p><p>• Utilize accounting software, with preference for Sage, to streamline reporting and analysis.</p><p>• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with property and casualty insurance regulations.</p><p>• Analyze financial data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.</p><p>• Maintain accurate records of transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.</p><p>• Assist with agency-specific accounting tasks to align with operational needs.</p><p>• Participate in monthly in-office meetings to coordinate projects and review updates.</p><p><br></p><p>Please apply directly on the Robert Half careers page. </p>

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the property and casualty insurance industry.<br>• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.<br>• Strong understanding of journal entries and bank reconciliation processes.<br>• Experience with accounting software, with Sage knowledge preferred.<br>• Ability to work independently in a mostly remote setting while maintaining productivity.<br>• Familiarity with agency operations and accounting practices.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.<br>• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
