Tax Manager - Public
<p>We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will lead tax planning and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to federal and state tax regulations. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing tax strategies and guiding the team toward success.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state returns to ensure compliance with regulations.</p><p>• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize savings.</p><p>• Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for tax optimization and risk mitigation.</p><p>• Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations, staying updated on changes and their implications.</p><p>• Collaborate with auditors during financial and tax audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.</p><p>• Provide mentorship and guidance to early-career tax staff, supporting their growth and development of technical skills.</p><p>• Manage and coordinate tax provision processes and ensure timely compliance with tax requirements.</p><p>• Advise management and stakeholders on the implications of new tax legislation and regulatory changes.</p><p>• Establish and refine best practices for tax processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy</p>
<p>• Must have CPA License</p><p>• Bachelor of Accounting- Prefer a Masters</p><p>• Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax management or a related field.</p><p>• Proficiency in preparing corporate, partnership, trust, estate, and individual tax returns.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of federal income tax regulations and compliance requirements.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to handle complex tax returns and develop strategic tax solutions.</p><p>• Expertise in identifying and implementing tax-saving opportunities.</p><p>• Excellent analytical skills for reviewing financial data and ensuring accurate reporting.</p><p>• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to support and develop team members at the entry level.</p><p>• Up-to-date understanding of changing tax laws and their impact on business operations.</p>
