<p>We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing client's team in Alabaster, Alabama. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to key financial processes while supporting general ledger accounting and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting principles and demonstrate strong attention to detail.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.</p><p>• Manage general ledger accounts, including preparation and maintenance of journal entries.</p><p>• Perform detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.</p><p>• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.</p><p>• Analyze financial statements and provide insights to support decision-making.</p><p>• Assist in improving accounting workflows and maintaining compliance with regulations.</p><p>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations.</p><p>• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.</p><p>• Monitor financial controls and recommend enhancements to strengthen accounting practices.</p>

• Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger accounting.<br>• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.<br>• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures and financial reporting.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and tools for efficient data management.<br>• Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
