Drive the Business.</p><p><br></p><p>Our client, a well-established and growing professional consulting organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead their accounting function and serve as a key business partner to leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative finance professional who enjoys balancing hands-on accounting responsibilities with team leadership and process improvement.</p><p><br></p><p>The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and experience managing accounting operations within a complex, multi-entity environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You Will Be Doing</strong></p><ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.</li><li>Oversee the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.</li><li>Prepare and review consolidated financial statements across multiple legal entities.</li><li>Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.</li><li>Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis, reporting, and insights that support strategic decision-making.</li><li>Coordinate annual audits and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.</li><li>Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and scalability.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong>What We Are Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>CPA designation required.</li><li>10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience in a Controller or senior accounting management role.</li><li>Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams.</li><li>Strong operational accounting experience with ownership of the full accounting cycle and month-end close.</li><li>Experience preparing multi-entity consolidated financial statements.</li><li>Excellent understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting best practices.</li><li>Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.</li></ul><p><strong>Assets That Will Set You Apart</strong></p><ul><li>Experience within engineering consulting, construction consulting, professional services, or similarly complex project-based organizations.</li><li>Experience working in a multi-entity corporate structure.</li><li>Exposure to ERP implementations or finance transformation initiatives.</li><li>Process improvement mindset with the ability to streamline and enhance accounting operations.</li></ul><p><strong>Why This Opportunity?</strong></p><p>This is an opportunity to join a respected organization where finance is viewed as a strategic partner to the business.
