VP/Director of Finance
<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Interim Director of Finance</p><p> <strong>Location:</strong> Hybrid / Onsite as required</p><p> <strong>Employment Type:</strong> Part-Time, Temporary (Duration TBD)</p><p><strong>Overview:</strong></p><p> A community-based non-profit organization is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Finance to lead its financial operations during a temporary leave. This role will oversee finance, payroll, procurement, and risk management functions, ensuring continued accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial leadership.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Part-time, temporary role with flexible hours.</li><li>Hybrid work model with potential onsite presence as needed.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide financial reporting and analysis to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.</li><li>Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring processes.</li><li>Supervise and support the Finance Coordinator in day-to-day operations.</li><li>Oversee payroll, procurement, and rent subsidy programs to ensure compliance and efficiency.</li><li>Ensure adherence to accounting standards, legislation, and funder requirements.</li><li>Manage audits, internal controls, and risk management processes.</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial sustainability.</li><li>Offer strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making.</li></ul>
<ul><li>CPA designation (or equivalent).</li><li>Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience; non-profit or social services sector preferred.</li><li>Proven leadership experience at a senior or director level.</li><li>Strong knowledge of not-for-profit financial management and compliance.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.</li><li>Excellent communication and team leadership skills.</li></ul>
