HR managers describe their company’s policy regarding pets in the office:

6% Pets are always welcome in the office
6% Pets are allowed on certain occasions, such as Take Your Dog to Work Day
6% Small pets or those in containers are allowed, such as fish or turtles
82% Pets are not allowed in the office

How employees feel about companies allowing pets at work:

29% Love it – pets make work way more fun!
31% Like it – pets can be OK so long as people control their animals
31% Don’t like it – pets belong at home vs. distracting people at the office
8% Hate it – pets scare, irritate or annoy me or cause allergic reactions

55% of HR managers feel allowing pets in the office has a positive impact on employee HAPPINESS.

9% Very positive
46% Somewhat positive
6% Somewhat negative
2% Very negative
37% No impact

37% of HR managers feel allowing pets in the office has a positive impact on employee PRODUCTIVITY.
