We are looking for an experienced hands-on Controller to lead core financial operations for a well-established organization in Southampton, Pennsylvania. This role is responsible for keeping accounting, payroll, and banking activities accurate, timely, and compliant while supporting daily business operations. The ideal candidate brings strong financial leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to partner with leadership on reporting and business decisions. Responsibilities: • Direct day-to-day accounting activities across payables, receivables, invoicing, and collections to maintain accurate and current financial records. • Lead monthly and annual closing cycles, including reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements and supporting reports. • Administer payroll for a workforce of approximately 30 employees and contractors, ensuring timely processing and compliance with applicable regulations. • Review sales tax obligations and filings to help ensure adherence to reporting requirements and regulatory standards. • Manage vendor payments, purchase order tracking, and invoice processing to support organized and efficient financial operations. • Perform bank reconciliations, oversee cash activity, and monitor account balances to support sound cash management practices. • Handle banking transactions such as deposits and wire transfers while maintaining close oversight of account activity. • Collaborate with operational leaders and company executives to provide financial insight that supports planning, performance, and decision-making.

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and payroll, ideally within a service-based or construction-related environment. • Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, financial close processes, and regulatory compliance requirements. • Demonstrated experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month-end close, and account reconciliations. • Proficiency with accounting software platforms; experience with QuickBooks or comparable systems is preferred. • Familiarity with bank reconciliations, cash monitoring, and routine banking transactions. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy. • Effective communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach to solving operational and financial issues. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred; comparable relevant experience will also be considered.
