We are looking for an experienced Controller for a manufacturing client in Vancouver, Washington, on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in cost accounting, manufacturing processes, and financial analysis. Responsibilities:• Manage and oversee cost accounting processes, including standard cost setups and variance analysis.• Prepare and execute year-end financial closings and audits in compliance with regulatory standards.• Maintain accurate inventory accounting records and reconcile discrepancies.• Compile, scan, and organize critical financial documents to ensure proper documentation control.• Analyze manufacturing cost data to improve operational efficiency and support decision-making.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial records with production metrics.• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.• Provide detailed reporting on cost variances and their impact on financial performance.• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices.

• Proven experience in cost accounting, particularly within the manufacturing industry.• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and cost variance analysis.• Familiarity with auditing processes and year-end closings.• Proficiency in managing and organizing financial documentation.• Ability to analyze complex financial data to support operational decisions.• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and present findings.• CPA preferred
