Family Law Paralegal (Hybrid)
<p>We are excited to be partnering with a well-established law firm in the Southwest Metro area that is seeking an experienced (4-7+ year) <strong>Family Law Paralegal</strong> to join its growing team!</p><p><br></p><p>This position offers the flexibility to work primarily <strong>remote</strong> following an initial in-office training period. It's a great fit for someone who is confident managing a caseload independently and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Draft and prepare legal documents (pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery, settlement agreements).</li><li>Manage case files and track deadlines to ensure compliance with court procedures.</li><li>Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and answer questions.</li><li>Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and third parties to schedule legal proceedings.</li><li>Prepare materials for hearings and trials, including exhibits and trial binders.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.</li><li>Track and record billable time accurately.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Minimum of 3-7+ years of experience working exclusively in family law as a paralegal required. </strong></li><li>In-depth knowledge of Minnesota family law statutes, court rules, and procedures.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple active cases and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with a professional and compassionate approach to client interaction.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document/case management systems.</li><li><strong>Experience with Minnesota court e-filing systems.</strong></li><li><strong>Must be familiar with discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, issuing subpoenas, and organizing/documenting responsive materials.</strong></li><li>Strong attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.</li><li>Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks with minimal oversight.</li><li>Paralegal certificate or degree from an accredited program (preferred but not required).</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar platforms).</li><li>Prior experience in guardianship or contested estate matters is a plus.</li><li>Notary Public certification is a bonus.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Benefits offered:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Health insurance - 100% paid monthly premiums for employees.</li><li>HSA </li><li>401k (with match)</li><li>PTO</li><li>Paid holidays</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
