Project Assistant
We are looking for a Project Assistant to support a one-night culinary event in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with the public, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and helping event operations run smoothly. The person in this role will assist guests throughout the event by managing check-in, providing clear information, and offering hands-on support as needed.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Welcome attendees upon arrival and create a positive first impression at the event entrance.<br>• Manage the guest check-in process efficiently, including scanning tickets or event credentials.<br>• Respond to attendee questions with accurate and helpful information about event activities, timing, and layout.<br>• Provide on-site support during the chef showcase and tasting experience to help ensure a smooth guest experience.<br>• Direct guests to appropriate event areas and assist with crowd flow throughout the evening.<br>• Address minor issues promptly and escalate concerns to event leadership when necessary.<br>• Help maintain an organized front-of-house area before, during, and after guest arrival periods.
• Previous experience in event support, guest services, hospitality, or a similar public-facing role is preferred.<br>• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of attendees.<br>• Comfortable using a scanning device or mobile check-in tool during event entry.<br>• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable, and service-oriented attitude.<br>• Ability to stay organized and work effectively in a fast-paced event environment.<br>• Reliable availability for a one-night Contract assignment in Spartanburg, South Carolina.<br>• Capable of standing and moving throughout the event as needed.
