<p>Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting to fill a Buyer position at an industrial retailer in Reno, Nevada. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the distribution of products within the network through the computerized tracking system. This is a long-term, stable company in the area (40+) years, with a healthy tenured crew (20ish employees).</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures</p><p>Examine levels of materials and supplies to determine shortages</p><p>Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels</p><p>Maintain accurate records for internal movements through the computerized inventory management system</p><p>Analyze various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective deals</p><p>Assist with inventory audits; assist with the reconciliation and troubleshooting of inventory discrepancies as required</p><p>Advise Management of inventory levels that require replenishing using the computerize inventory management program as a resource</p><p>Manage daily purchasing activities, supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.</p><p>Maintain supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation</p><p>Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs</p><p>Meet deadlines</p><p>Compensation target is to $90k + bonus, plus a wide range of benefits to include 100% paid medical and dental, 4% match on the 401k, vacation, sick and 1 personal day, plus all major holidays.</p><p>This is a standard 40 hour work week, Monday-Friday. <p>• A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or a similar role.</p><p>• Strong skills in managing annual inventory and physical inventory processes.</p><p>• Proficiency in conducting cycle counts and maintaining accurate stock records.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.</p><p>• Excellent analytical and organizational skills to manage inventory parameters and forecasts.</p><p>• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with internal teams and external suppliers.</p><p>• Experience using inventory management systems and tools for tracking and reporting.</p>
