<p>Our client, an innovative leader in the biotechnology sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is pivotal in managing complex accounting operations, supporting accurate financial reporting, and contributing to strategic business initiatives within a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure accuracy of all financial statements</li><li>Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis</li><li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for research and development, grants, and operational activities</li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP, industry-specific accounting standards, and regulatory requirements</li><li>Coordinate with external auditors and manage documentation for audits</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business objectives</li></ul><p><br></p>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience; prior experience in biotech or life sciences industry highly preferred</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar platforms)</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments</li></ul>
