We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Redding, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting year-end audit preparations and overseeing the financial close for multiple entities. This position requires a proactive approach to managing intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of general ledger accounts.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and oversee year-end audit documentation for multiple entities.<br>• Manage financial closing processes for November and December across five companies.<br>• Handle intercompany transactions and ensure proper reconciliation of balance sheets.<br>• Compile and analyze trial balances and verify accuracy within the general ledger.<br>• Coordinate and support audit preparations, including documentation and reporting.<br>• Implement and optimize financial systems to enhance operational efficiency.<br>• Review and manage inventory accounting processes.<br>• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements.<br>• Maintain control over document scanning and organization to ensure accessibility.<br>• Monitor and ensure accuracy in tax filings and annual financial reports.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.<br>• Proven expertise in managing general ledger accounts and trial balances.<br>• Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar financial systems.<br>• Strong knowledge of audit preparation and compliance processes.<br>• Ability to perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations.<br>• Experience in document control and scanning procedures.<br>• Solid understanding of inventory accounting methods.<br>• Excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage multiple entities.
