Systems Administrator
<p>We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Systems Administrator to join a growing IT team in the Phoenix area. This professional will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of the organization&#39;s IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, cloud environments, virtualization platforms, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting abilities, a proactive mindset, and experience supporting both on-premises and cloud-based technologies.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Administer and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments.</li><li>Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID.</li><li>Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure and business-critical systems.</li><li>Install, configure, update, and patch servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications.</li><li>Support virtualization environments such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.</li><li>Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.</li><li>Assist with cloud infrastructure administration in Azure and/or AWS environments.</li><li>Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and testing.</li><li>Troubleshoot escalated hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.</li><li>Maintain endpoint management solutions and deploy security updates across the environment.</li><li>Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices, including access controls, endpoint protection, and vulnerability remediation.</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and operational procedures.</li><li>Collaborate with help desk, network engineering, security, and business stakeholders on infrastructure initiatives.</li><li>Support IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, deployments, and cloud transformations.</li><li>Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when necessary.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p>Required Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.</li><li>3+ years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure support.</li><li>Strong experience with Windows Server administration.</li><li>Experience supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.</li><li>Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.</li><li>Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and switches.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service abilities.</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li>Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).</li><li>Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages.</li><li>Exposure to enterprise security tools and compliance frameworks.</li><li>Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools.</li><li>Industry certifications such as:</li><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate</li><li>Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator</li><li>CompTIA Server+</li><li>CompTIA Security+</li><li>VMware Certified Professional (VCP)</li></ul><p><br></p>
