We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in financial processes and accounting principles. The role will involve both in-office training for the first two weeks and remote work thereafter. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. • Prepare and review journal entries to maintain integrity in the general ledger. • Conduct account and bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues effectively. • Oversee fixed asset accounting activities, including disposals and depreciation calculations. • Support project accounting efforts by tracking expenditures and ensuring proper budget alignment. • Assist with audit preparation and collaborate on external audit processes to ensure compliance. • Contribute to lease accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records. • Generate investor reports and provide insights into financial performance. • Utilize tools like NetSuite, Workiva, and Excel to streamline accounting operations. • Participate in general accounting duties as needed to support the finance team.

• Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance. • Strong proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing reconciliations. • Solid understanding of fixed asset accounting and related disposals. • Familiarity with external audit workpapers and annual audit processes. • Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite and Workiva is preferred. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions and data analysis. • Knowledge of lease and project accounting principles. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
