Product Manager 3
<p>We are seeking a <strong>Product Manager</strong> with strong experience in HRIS platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to lead the delivery of business-critical solutions. The ideal candidate will partner with stakeholders, manage the full product lifecycle, and ensure seamless integrations across HR systems. This role requires a balance of technical product management, strategic leadership, and hands-on collaboration with both technical and business teams.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Product & Business Management</strong></p><ul><li>Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope.</li><li>Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to define requirements and product direction.</li><li>Develop business plans and participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle: analysis, design, testing, integration, and product introduction.</li><li>Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies including quarterly planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and strategy sessions with business leadership.</li><li>Advocate for the product team to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with vision, strategy, and roadmap.</li></ul><p><strong>DevSecOps & Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)</strong></p><ul><li>Lead activities supporting the delivery of new functionality in HRIS applications, including requirements gathering, solution design, user acceptance testing, business validation, and success criteria measurement.</li><li>Provide post-deployment support and assessment for continuous process improvement and functionality evolution.</li><li>Manage the complete software development lifecycle from conception to retirement across applications and integrations.</li><li>Lead a small team of technical leads and developers, ensuring tasks are delivered on time and meet quality standards.</li><li>Oversee and manage integrations using MuleSoft, ensuring seamless data flow between HRIS systems and downstream applications.</li></ul><p>•<strong>Required Skills (Top 3 Non-Negotiables)</strong></p><ol><li><strong>Experience with HRIS/LMS platforms</strong> (e.g., Oracle Fusion HCM, Workday, Absorb, SumTotal, or Cornerstone).</li><li><strong>5+ years of relevant experience</strong> in Product Management or LMS System Administration.</li><li><strong>Product development expertise</strong>, including value stream/journey mapping and related techniques.</li></ol><p> <strong>Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)</strong></p><ul><li>Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification or related experience (APM, SPC).</li><li>Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and driving product delivery.</li><li>Strong background in product release/deployment, strategic planning, user experience analysis, and KPI/OKR tracking.</li></ul><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years).</li></ul><p><strong>Software Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency with <strong>Learning Management Systems</strong> (Absorb, SumTotal, Cornerstone).</li><li>Familiarity with HRIS platforms and middleware tools such as <strong>MuleSoft</strong>.</li></ul><p><strong>Disqualifiers</strong></p><ul><li>Candidates with <strong>pure LMS administration</strong> backgrounds (focused only on course creation/management).</li><li>This role requires <strong>platform/product administration</strong>, supporting trainers and LMS admins to ensure systems meet business expectations.</li></ul><p><strong>Team Environment</strong></p><ul><li>Team size: 16 (4 Senior, 11 Mid, 1 Junior).</li><li>Hybrid model with team members spread across California.</li><li>Cross-functional collaboration with <strong>People & Engagement, IT, Communications, and Corporate Citizenship</strong>.</li></ul>
