We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes, audits, budgeting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and tax compliance for a growing healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep expertise in financial operations, and a strategic mindset to support the organization’s ambitious goals. Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation, review, and distribution of monthly financial reports using Sage Intacct. • Develop a thorough understanding of the organization’s business model and key performance drivers. • Lead and coordinate external audits to ensure compliance and accuracy. • Establish and maintain robust revenue recognition policies and internal controls. • Manage month-end processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. • Drive the FP&A function to deliver insightful revenue analysis and forecasting. • Spearhead the annual budgeting process and contribute to long-term strategic planning efforts. • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations across multiple states. • Facilitate seamless integration of acquisitions and record transactions accurately. • Conduct financial due diligence for M&A activities and provide strategic recommendations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting roles. • Proven ability to lead and develop team members effectively. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical accounting documents and regulations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Experience in healthcare or physician practice settings is highly desirable. • Familiarity with private equity environments and Sage Intacct is a plus.
