We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the efficient sourcing and purchasing of goods and services within the hospitality industry. Your expertise will help maintain quality standards while keeping costs under control, all while supporting the smooth operations of various departments. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily purchasing and receiving activities to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement processes. • Source and acquire luxury goods and branded items while adhering to budget and quality requirements. • Build strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, pricing, and service terms to optimize procurement. • Monitor inventory levels, perform cost analyses, and forecast demand to prevent shortages or excess stock. • Approve and manage purchase orders using systems such as BirchStreet and Avendra. • Collaborate with the Finance team to manage budgets, track expenses, and reconcile costs effectively. • Partner with departments such as Culinary, Housekeeping, and Engineering to anticipate procurement needs and streamline operations. • Ensure all procurement activities align with brand standards, company policies, and compliance guidelines. • Lead and support the purchasing team, fostering a culture of accountability and professionalism.

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the hospitality or luxury goods industry. • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage vendor relationships and secure favorable terms. • Proficiency in procurement systems such as BirchStreet or equivalent software. • Solid understanding of inventory management, demand forecasting, and cost analysis. • Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with various internal teams. • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience. • Knowledge of purchasing policies, strategies, and best practices. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
