We are looking for an experienced Controller to support a manufacturing organization in Matthews, North Carolina through a Long-term Contract engagement. This role will oversee core accounting operations, provide financial reporting leadership, and help maintain strong controls across a business with a collaborative, hands-on environment. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cost accounting, fixed assets, and financial analysis, and can quickly step in to support audit readiness and overall financial accuracy. Responsibilities:• Lead day-to-day accounting oversight across general ledger activity, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity for the organization.• Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation processes and ongoing accuracy of asset records using Sage.• Review and refine account reconciliations, including investigating and resolving account balances that require cleanup or further analysis.• Support standard cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment and help ensure product costing remains accurate and reliable.• Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial reports using Business Insight and develop internal reporting visibility through Power BI.• Partner with staff handling blended transactional duties to strengthen workflows across accounts payable, cash application, and related accounting processes.• Coordinate audit preparation efforts and provide documentation, schedules, and financial support for the upcoming year-end audit.• Participate in initial onsite onboarding and training, then work flexibly in a remote or hybrid arrangement based on business nee

• Proven experience serving in a Controller or senior accounting leadership capacity. • Strong background in fixed asset accounting and depreciation management. • Demonstrated expertise in standard cost accounting within a manufacturing setting. • Hands-on experience with Sage and Business Insight for accounting and financial reporting. • Ability to create and interpret management reports and dashboards using Power BI. • Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger oversight. • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where responsibilities may span multiple accounting functions.
