<p>We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join a long-term contract opportunity. This role focuses on building and enhancing reliable back-end applications and services that support secure, scalable, and high-performing web solutions. The position offers the chance to contribute across the full development lifecycle while partnering with technical teams to deliver well-designed, maintainable software.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Translate business needs into practical technical approaches and contribute to solution design throughout planning, development, testing, and release activities.</p><p>• Create and enhance back-end services and application features using modern C# and .NET technologies, while resolving defects and improving existing functionality.</p><p>• Produce clear technical documentation, define implementation details, and provide realistic effort estimates based on project scope and priorities.</p><p>• Strengthen application security and data protection by applying sound engineering practices, reviewing code quality, and aligning development work with established standards.</p><p>• Improve performance and reliability by analyzing monitoring insights, refining database queries and structures, and supporting efficient data processing.</p><p>• Build and support database solutions using PostgreSQL and related technologies, including optimization for complex data storage and retrieval needs.</p><p>• Contribute to automated delivery processes from development through production using CI/CD practices and cloud-based tooling.</p><p>• Work within Agile or hybrid delivery frameworks while collaborating with team members and offering technical guidance to less experienced developers.</p><p>• Develop solutions that leverage Azure services such as Functions, Service Bus, App Configuration, containers, and application monitoring capabilities.</p>

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or comparable relevant experience.<br>• At least 6 years of software development experience, including strong background in full-stack or back-end engineering environments.<br>• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET 6/7/8, Entity Framework Core, REST-based services, and microservices development.<br>• Practical experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, and database design, including query tuning and efficient data modeling.<br>• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.<br>• Experience with Azure cloud services, including Function Apps, Azure Service Bus, App Configuration, Application Insights, and identity solutions such as Microsoft Entra ID.<br>• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar automation tools, along with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit.<br>• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently and support team success.
