We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Malden, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage various accounting tasks while ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations and financial reporting standards. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Manage sales tax filings and resolve related discrepancies. • Record and maintain journal entries to support accurate financial reporting. • Handle general ledger account reconciliations to maintain data integrity. • Utilize Abila MIP software to manage accounting processes and generate reports. • Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures to finalize financial statements. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless accounting operations. • Analyze financial data to provide insights and support decision-making. • Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews. • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards to ensure best practices.

• Proven experience with corporate tax and sales tax processes. • Strong knowledge of corporate tax return preparation and compliance. • Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger accounts. • Hands-on experience with Abila MIP accounting software. • Solid understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation procedures. • Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively. • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
