We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing development team in Kingston, New York. This role combines people leadership, technical direction, and delivery oversight to build secure, reliable software solutions that support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will guide engineering practices, collaborate across business and technical teams, and help shape a scalable roadmap for digital platforms in a regulated environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Direct and support a team of software engineers by providing coaching, feedback, and opportunities for technical growth.<br>• Oversee software delivery from initial planning and requirements definition through release, maintenance, and ongoing improvements.<br>• Guide the architecture, design, and implementation of applications built with Microsoft technologies, modern JavaScript frameworks, and relational database platforms.<br>• Work closely with business partners, security teams, compliance stakeholders, operations staff, and analysts to deliver solutions aligned with user needs and regulatory expectations.<br>• Establish and reinforce engineering disciplines such as peer code review, automated test coverage, continuous integration and deployment, and secure development practices.<br>• Help define and prioritize a technology roadmap for customer-facing and internal delivery platforms in partnership with leadership committees and business stakeholders.<br>• Drive iterative delivery methods that produce usable software on a continuous basis while improving transparency and execution predictability.<br>• Promote strong technical documentation, production readiness, and dependable system performance within a high-trust financial services setting.<br>• Contribute to architectural standards, governance practices, and reusable design approaches while mentoring engineers in sound technical decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, equivalent industry-recognized certifications, or comparable relevant experience.<br>• Demonstrated experience leading software engineering teams and managing application delivery across the full development lifecycle.<br>• Strong hands-on knowledge of C#, .NET, and .NET Core for enterprise application development.<br>• Experience with Python development, including frameworks and templating tools such as Flask, Django, or Jinja.<br>• Proficiency with JavaScript-based front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte.<br>• Practical experience building APIs, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and working with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar cloud-based development platforms.<br>• Familiarity with Agile delivery methods, including Scrum, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.<br>• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff, leadership, and end users.
