Software Engineer
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a collaborative technology team in Kingston, New York. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and supporting business-critical applications and integrations across internal platforms and cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will contribute throughout the software lifecycle while helping shape scalable solutions that balance performance, security, maintainability, and long-term value.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Build, enhance, and support custom software applications and system integrations used across the organization.<br>• Collaborate with analysts, product stakeholders, and project teams to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.<br>• Design and deliver reusable components, shared services, and development frameworks that improve consistency across engineering efforts.<br>• Partner with cross-functional teams to create prototypes, validate ideas, and implement production-ready solutions.<br>• Contribute to the release, operation, and ongoing support of applications in live environments.<br>• Help plan iterative delivery schedules and align development work with roadmap priorities and business objectives.<br>• Apply established coding practices, architectural standards, and development methodologies to produce reliable, secure, and maintainable software.<br>• Provide technical guidance by supporting architecture decisions, encouraging sound design patterns, and mentoring peers when needed.
<p>• 2 to 5 years of software development experience in a similar engineering role.</p><p>• Hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and a heavy focus on JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte.</p><p>• Familiarity with Node.js and experience developing full-stack solutions across web applications and services.</p><p>• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and working with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or comparable cloud-based development platforms.</p><p>• Knowledge of databases and data technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar storage solutions.</p><p>• Exposure to Python-based development and tools such as Flask, Django, or templating frameworks is valued.</p><p>• Understanding of containerization, Kubernetes, Helm, message brokers, and scalable distributed application patterns is preferred.</p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry-recognized technical certifications.</p>
