This role oversees financial reporting, compliance activities, and the continuous improvement of accounting processes while maintaining strong alignment with generally accepted accounting principles. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on leadership style, strong systems knowledge, and the ability to manage both day-to-day accounting priorities and strategic financial initiatives. Responsibilities:• Oversee the company’s accounting records and financial activities to ensure accurate reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.• Produce timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and consolidated reports for management review.• Prepare and submit financial compliance materials for lenders and other institutions, including borrowing base support and debt-related schedules.• Review reconciliations for bank accounts and general ledger balances to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.• Perform financial analysis and present findings that help leadership evaluate performance and make informed operational decisions.• Maintain tax configuration data within financial systems, including fuel and sales tax rates, and assist with licensing and reporting requirements across multiple states.• Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures to improve accuracy, consistency, and overall financial governance. • CPA or CMA certification required.• 5–10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles with increasing responsibility.• Prior experience supporting or leading accounting system implementation projects.• Proficiency with accounting software, with strong preference for QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop and Oracle NetSuite experience preferred.• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance processes, and internal controls.
