<p>We are looking for a Controller to support healthcare finance operations in the greater Hartford area. This is a Contract position focused on maintaining accurate financial records, producing timely reporting, and strengthening the month-end close process. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability and hands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation in a regulated environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead the monthly close cycle by coordinating deadlines, reviewing balances, and ensuring financial data is finalized on schedule.</p><p>• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation to maintain accurate general ledger activity.</p><p>• Perform detailed account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding issues promptly.</p><p>• Produce recurring and ad hoc financial reports that support operational and leadership decision-making.</p><p>• Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide clear explanations to stakeholders.</p><p>• Maintain accuracy and consistency across financial records while supporting compliance with healthcare accounting standards.</p><p>• Partner with internal teams to gather information needed for reporting, close activities, and financial review processes.</p>

• Experience serving in a Controller or senior-level accounting leadership role, preferably within healthcare.<br>• Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger accounting.<br>• Demonstrated ability to prepare journal entries and complete account reconciliations accurately.<br>• Experience developing financial reports and delivering meaningful financial analysis.<br>• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.<br>• High attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet-based analysis tools.
