We are looking for an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our civil litigation defense team in Hartford, Connecticut. If you have a passion for providing exceptional client service and a strong background in litigation, we invite you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing motions.<br>• Take and defend depositions to gather and present evidence effectively.<br>• Prepare legal documents such as motions, briefs, and discovery responses.<br>• Represent clients in court proceedings and communicate directly with them to understand case needs.<br>• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop case strategies and ensure smooth case management.<br>• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong defenses and case arguments.<br>• Communicate in a detail-oriented manner with opposing counsel, clients, and the court regarding case updates and proceedings.<br>• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as required to advocate for clients.<br>• Handle civil litigation defense matters across various areas, including general liability, personal injury, construction defect, commercial trucking, and employment law.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Insurance Defense Litigation.<br>• Familiarity with employment law, construction defect, or commercial trucking law is a plus.<br>• Proven ability to draft motions, legal memoranda, and prepare for trial independently.<br>• Strong analytical and writing skills to manage complex legal issues effectively.<br>• Ability to handle cases independently from initiation to settlement or trial.<br>• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.<br>• Active license to practice law in Connecticut (required).<br>• Licensure in other states is a plus but not mandatory.
