We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to support accurate, timely payroll operations for a workforce based in Downey, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can interpret payroll data, collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, and help maintain smooth payroll processes in a fast-paced environment. The role offers an opportunity to contribute analytical insight while supporting payroll-related activities and coordination across teams. Responsibilities: • Review payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and issues that may affect timely and accurate employee pay. • Process end-to-end payroll activities for a mid-sized employee population while helping ensure compliance with established procedures. • Support multi-state payroll administration by validating earnings, deductions, tax treatment, and employee records. • Partner with HR, finance, managers, and external contacts to resolve payroll questions and communicate updates clearly. • Use ADP Workforce Now to maintain payroll information, audit transactions, and prepare payroll-related reports. • Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including validation of wage and tax information associated with W-2 reporting. • Contribute to payroll improvement efforts and provide support during implementation-related activities when needed. • Document findings and escalate payroll concerns promptly to help minimize processing delays and payment errors.

• Experience handling full-cycle payroll processing in a detail-oriented work environment. • Working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices and common payroll compliance considerations. • Familiarity with payroll systems, including ADP Workforce Now. • Ability to analyze data carefully and identify inconsistencies or unusual payroll results. • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders. • Payroll and/or HR experience is preferred, though candidates with transferable analytical experience will also be considered. • Experience supporting payroll operations for employee populations ranging from approximately 101 to 500 employees. • Understanding of year-end payroll documentation, including W-2 related processes.
