Administrative Assistant
<p>We are looking for a dependable Administrative Assistant to support on-site coverage of public government meetings in Dover, Delaware. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, punctual, and comfortable handling straightforward administrative tasks with care and consistency. The person in this role will attend scheduled meetings, capture clear audio records, and submit files promptly for internal use.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Arrive ahead of scheduled meeting times, prepare for attendance, and choose seating that allows for clear audio capture and minimal disruption.</p><p>• Attend public meetings from start to finish, remaining attentive, detail oriented, and unobtrusive throughout each session.</p><p>• Record meeting audio accurately in accordance with public-setting expectations and established assignment guidelines.</p><p>• Upload audio files on the same day as the meeting and confirm successful submission with the assigned coordinator.</p><p>• Communicate appropriately if introductions are requested, using the approved brief explanation for attendance.</p><p>• Maintain reliable monthly availability for recurring assignments and respond promptly to scheduling updates or check-ins.</p><p>• Follow workplace expectations for appropriate conduct and dress in neat business casual attire while representing the assignment responsibly.</p>
• At least 1 year of experience in administrative support, office assistance, or a similar role requiring accuracy and consistency.<br>• Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully and complete routine tasks with consistency and accuracy.<br>• Comfortable attending in-person public meetings and remaining focused for sessions that may extend beyond two hours.<br>• Basic technical ability to handle audio files, complete uploads, and provide timely confirmation of submission.<br>• Strong dependability, punctuality, and communication skills in a contract-based work setting.<br>• Experience with administrative assistance, data entry, receptionist support, inbound calls, or customer service is preferred.
