<p>We are seeking a Systems Security Administrator to help support and enhance a Microsoft-focused technology environment. This contract opportunity is well suited for a hands-on, detail-driven professional who can effectively manage infrastructure administration, endpoint support, and security-focused operational responsibilities across servers, workstations, and cloud platforms. This role provides the chance to work with key technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and virtualization platforms while contributing to the stability, security, and efficiency of daily IT operations.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Administer and support Microsoft server, desktop, and Microsoft 365 environments to ensure secure and reliable business operations.</li><li>Oversee identity and access management across Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, and Group Policy, including user onboarding, provisioning, and policy administration.</li><li>Coordinate and execute patch management for servers and endpoint devices, scheduling maintenance to reduce business impact.</li><li>Deliver desktop support by troubleshooting endpoint issues, resolving system errors, and assisting users with application access.</li><li>Maintain and support virtual environments using technologies such as VMware or OpenShift to promote strong system availability and performance.</li><li>Support security administration initiatives, including multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, and endpoint management policies.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve foundational networking issues related to switches, VPN access, firewalls, and other infrastructure components.</li><li>Assist with storage systems, device management, and end-user computing environments while maintaining documentation and adhering to established procedures.</li><li>Partner with team members and end users to provide technical guidance, user support, and training within a dynamic IT setting.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p>• At least 5 years of experience in IT security infrastructure, operations, design, or information assurance.</p><p>• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server, Windows desktop environments, and Microsoft 365 services.</p><p>• Working knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and Group Policy administration.</p><p>• Experience with server and endpoint patch management, maintenance coordination, and endpoint troubleshooting.</p><p>• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenShift, or similar platforms.</p><p>• Foundational understanding of networking concepts including VPNs, firewalls, switching, and related connectivity principles.</p><p>• Associate degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.</p><p>• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and end-user support skills; entry-level certifications such as CompTIA or Microsoft credentials are preferred but not required.</p>
