Controller
<p>We are looking for an experienced interim Controller to join a manufacturing business in Colorado on a contract basis. This onsite role will take full ownership of the company’s accounting operations, providing accurate financial oversight and dependable reporting during an important period of organizational change. The position is ideal for a hands-on individual who can work independently, manage daily financial activity, and maintain strong controls across the accounting function.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee the complete accounting cycle for the business, ensuring daily financial activity is recorded accurately and on time.</p><p>• Monitor cash balances, manage short-term liquidity needs, and prepare recurring cash forecasts to support operational planning.</p><p>• Direct accounts receivable activities, including billing, payment application, and follow-up on outstanding customer balances.</p><p>• Manage accounts payable processes by coordinating vendor payments, maintaining supplier records, and reviewing disbursements for accuracy.</p><p>• Administer payroll processing and ensure employee compensation is completed correctly and in compliance with internal requirements.</p><p>• Maintain inventory-related accounting records, reconcile stock balances, and support physical or cycle count activities as needed.</p><p>• Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and complete month-end close tasks with supporting documentation.</p><p>• Produce trial balances, financial statements, and management reports that highlight performance, cash flow, and key variances.</p><p>• Provide documentation and reporting support for the parent organization and assist with post-acquisition alignment activities such as account mapping and policy standardization.</p>
• Proven experience leading full-cycle accounting in a standalone or small-company environment.<br>• Strong background in month-end close, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation.<br>• Knowledge of inventory accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing-related cost tracking.<br>• Hands-on experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and cash management.<br>• Familiarity with payroll administration in either an internal or outsourced processing model.<br>• Proficiency with QuickBooks and strong spreadsheet skills, including the use of Excel formulas.<br>• Ability to prepare trial balances and generate accurate financial statements with minimal supervision.
