<p>We are looking for a hands-on Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation and distribution activity at our hub in Brighton, Michigan. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can keep dispatch operations organized, guide frontline team members, and respond quickly to changing shipping demands. The person in this role will help maintain steady package flow, reinforce safe work practices, and communicate operational issues to leadership as they arise. Shift is from 500am to 130am or 730am to 330pm.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee day-to-day hub activity to keep dispatch, pickups, and route execution on schedule.</p><p>• Provide direction to a team of dispatch staff by assigning work, adjusting coverage, and maintaining workflow across operating waves.</p><p>• Monitor shipment volume and productivity trends, then share key performance updates with management.</p><p>• Support dispatchers with real-time coaching on routing decisions, service exceptions, and issue resolution.</p><p>• Lead safety discussions and reinforce established operational standards throughout the site.</p><p>• Identify concerns related to staffing, equipment, or package volume and elevate them promptly to hub leadership.</p><p>• Assist with onboarding and training for new team members to promote consistent execution and accountability.</p><p>• Maintain an active presence on the floor and in the yard to support operations in a fast-moving environment.</p>

• At least 1 year of experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or a similar frontline transportation role.<br>• Practical knowledge of logistics and distribution operations, including shipping and route coordination.<br>• Ability to lead peers, provide instruction, and support the development of new hires.<br>• Comfortable working in a physically active setting with regular floor presence and some outdoor exposure.<br>• Able to lift up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.<br>• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.<br>• Experience using dispatch or transportation-related systems and tools to support daily operations.
