<p><strong>Robert Half</strong> is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a <strong>Network Administrator (contract).</strong> In this role, you will take ownership of our network infrastructure and security operations. This role ensures that the systems run efficiently, securely, and reliably across all departments. <strong>This role is onsite in Austin, Tx. </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Network Operations:</strong> Configure, maintain, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems to keep our LAN/WAN running smoothly.</li><li><strong>Performance Monitoring:</strong> Track network health, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime for critical city services.</li><li><strong>Security Management:</strong> Implement firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems; conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to incidents promptly.</li><li><strong>Technical Support:</strong> Assist staff with connectivity issues, workstation setups, and access control.</li><li><strong>Documentation & Compliance:</strong> Maintain accurate network diagrams, policies, and disaster recovery plans; ensure compliance with IT standards and regulations.</li><li><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong> Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend upgrades to enhance reliability and security.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.</li><li><strong>3 plus years</strong> of hands-on experience in network administration.</li><li>Expertise with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking platforms.</li><li>Certifications: <strong>Network+ (required)</strong>; <strong>CCNA or higher preferred</strong>.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of routing, switching, and network security protocols.</li><li>Familiarity with virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V).</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and multitasking skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Contract Benefit Offerings:</strong></p><ul><li>Healthcare (medical, dental, and vision plans)</li><li>401(k) and retirement plans</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Employee and vendor discounts</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>And many more!</li></ul><p><br></p>
