Network Engineer
<p>We are looking for a senior Network Engineer to support a fast-growing healthcare organization through a long term contract position. This role focuses on designing and delivering enterprise network solutions across expanding sites and lab environments, with a strong emphasis on switching, security, and clear technical documentation. The ideal candidate brings deep Juniper expertise, strong familiarity with Palo Alto firewall technologies, and the ability to translate complex designs into practical plans for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Design and deliver enterprise network solutions for new branches, campuses, and lab environments and related sites.</p><p>• Lead technical projects from discovery and architecture through implementation, validation, and handoff with minimal oversight.</p><p>• Build and enhance switching infrastructure to support business growth, lab connectivity, and segmented device environments.</p><p>• Develop network designs and supporting documentation that clearly explain solutions, risks, and implementation steps for varied audiences.</p><p>• Partner with senior and entry-level team members, as well as server and wireless teams, to align network changes with broader infrastructure goals.</p><p>• Configure and support Juniper-based enterprise networking and contribute to firewall strategy involving Palo Alto platforms.</p><p>• Assist with AWS networking initiatives, including connectivity planning and integration with on-premises environments.</p><p>• Ensure network security practices align with healthcare regulatory expectations, including protection of sensitive systems and data.</p><p>• Support site expansion efforts and contribute to network migration and operational activities tied to infrastructure projects.</p>
• Extensive experience in a senior-level network engineering role within large-scale enterprise environments.<br>• Strong hands-on expertise with Juniper networking technologies in production enterprise settings.<br>• Working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and how they interact within broader network security architectures.<br>• Solid background in switching, routing, and core network design, including experience with Cisco routers, Cisco ASA, BGP, and general Cisco networking.<br>• Proven ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate design decisions to non-technical stakeholders.<br>• Experience leading project-based infrastructure work independently from design through deployment.<br>• Familiarity with AWS networking concepts; experience with hybrid cloud connectivity is highly desirable.<br>• Healthcare or medical environment experience is a plus, especially where security, compliance, and lab operations are involved.
