We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Annapolis, Maryland. This position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, with deep expertise in Yardi software and a thorough understanding of Affordable Housing complexities. You will play a pivotal role in financial reconciliation, reporting, and system optimization while collaborating with a skilled team.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Perform detailed reconciliation of tenant ledgers and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Generate precise financial reports using Yardi software.<br>• Assist in the adoption and implementation of Yardi’s latest user interface and workflows.<br>• Collaborate closely with both internal and external Yardi consultants to optimize system functionality.<br>• Provide expert-level accounting support to maintain financial integrity.<br>• Evaluate and improve existing financial processes where necessary.<br>• Ensure compliance with Affordable Housing regulations in financial management.<br>• Offer guidance and support to the team on Yardi-related tasks.

• Extensive experience with Yardi software, including Affordable Housing modules.<br>• Proven ability to work independently and remotely without the need for office presence.<br>• Strong background in Affordable Housing accounting and reporting.<br>• Advanced knowledge of bank reconciliations and financial ledger management.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.<br>• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or controller-level roles.<br>• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with consultants and internal teams.
