<p>Senior Accountant</p><p>Location: Downtown Vancouver (Hybrid)</p><p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Opportunity</strong></p><p>Our client, a growing private equity firm headquartered in Downtown Vancouver, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This role is ideal for a designated CPA with strong private equity or investment management experience, and who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>• Lead the full month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, amortizations, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations across multiple entities and investment structures.</p><p>• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, roll-forwards, and supporting schedules.</p><p>• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial results.</p><p>• Maintain and enhance the internal close calendar to ensure deadlines are met across the finance function.</p><p>• Prepare detailed reporting packages, including P& L, balance sheet analytics, cash flow reporting, and investment performance metrics.</p><p>• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and notes under IFRS.</p><p>• Assist with audit working papers, supporting schedules, and documentation for both corporate entities and investment funds.</p><p>• Prepare government GST/PST remittances and assist with tax working papers.</p><p>• Coordinate cash flow forecasting, treasury activities, and capital activity tracking.</p><p>• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for portfolio and corporate-level analysis.</p><p>• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to strengthen efficiency and internal controls.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>• CPA designation required (CA, CGA, or CMA).</p><p>• 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with direct exposure to private equity, asset management, or investment funds.</p><p>• Solid understanding of IFRS, consolidations, fair value measurement, and investment accounting.</p><p>• Advanced MS Excel skills: experience with accounting and ERP software is an asset.</p><p>• Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.</p><p>• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a lean team environment.</p><p><br></p><p>If this sounds like the role for you, please apply today! or reach out to Sharon Lovison at 604-229-2573 for more information. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
