We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This is a contract position with the potential for permanent employment, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial accuracy and integrity of a well-established organization. In this role, you will support financial operations by preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and tax remittances, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Responsibilities: • Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding issues through accurate journal entries. • Prepare and upload monthly journal entries within established deadlines, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Calculate and remit provincial sales taxes on a monthly basis, making necessary adjustments at year-end as required. • Reconcile physical inventory counts to the general ledger, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures. • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to inventory, trust funding, and other key financial data. • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and relevant regulations to maintain financial integrity. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide timely and accurate financial information and support decision-making. • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all financial records are complete and accurate. • Utilize financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage accounting tasks effectively. • Support the Finance team’s objectives by delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting.

• Proven experience in account reconciliation, including resolving discrepancies and preparing journal entries. • Proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes. • Ability to calculate and remit provincial sales taxes accurately and on time. • Experience in preparing financial reports and analyzing inventory data. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with an accounting designation considered an asset.
