Robert Half Canada is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a well-established, multi-entity organization based in Surrey, BC. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a CPA who brings strong financial reporting experience along with proven experience managing an accounting team within a larger, complex corporate environment. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting team, with a primary focus on financial reporting, month-end processes, and staff management across multiple entities. The successful candidate will currently be managing a team of at least four accounting professionals and be comfortable balancing technical accounting responsibilities with team leadership and ongoing process improvement. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and oversee a team of 4+ accounting staff, including workflow management, review, coaching, and day-to-day support.</li><li>Manage financial reporting and month-end accounting activities across a multi-entity corporate structure.</li><li>Review accounting deliverables and ensure reporting is completed accurately and within established deadlines.</li><li>Support the Controller with the ongoing improvement and documentation of accounting processes, procedures, and SOPs.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, and efficiencies within the accounting function.</li><li>Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned by the Controller.</li><li>Provide FP&A and analytical support as required, including assistance with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and other finance initiatives.</li></ul>

Qualifications<ul><li>CPA designation is mandatory.</li><li>Current experience in an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or comparable accounting leadership position.</li><li>Demonstrated experience directly supervising and developing a team of 4+ accounting staff.</li><li>Strong financial reporting and month-end accounting experience.</li><li>Experience working within a large, multi-entity corporate environment.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing reporting deadlines and team priorities.</li><li>Comfortable working in a hands-on capacity while providing leadership and oversight to the accounting team.</li><li>Must be able to work full-time on-site in Surrey, BC.</li></ul>Compensation: $110,000–$120,000, commensurate with experience.This opportunity would suit an established accounting leader who enjoys being close to the financial reporting function while taking ownership of a team and contributing to broader finance projects and process improvements.
