A Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing an organization's financial health, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing critical insights that drive strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), or other relevant accounting standards. Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations Analyze financial results and variances, providing summaries and recommendations to management. Accounting Operations: Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and general ledger functions. Ensure proper documentation and management of financial transactions and records. Manage bank reconciliations and intercompany accounts. Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to tax and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide financial data as required Process Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and recommend changes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to improve or implement ERP systems and automation tools.
