We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support a healthcare organization in Dallas, Texas through a Long-term Contract assignment lasting 12–16 weeks. This role joins a lean treasury and accounting team and focuses on maintaining accurate cash activity, supporting payment operations, and keeping routine financial reporting on track. The position is hybrid and includes periodic onsite work to manage check processing and related banking tasks.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare daily and periodic cash balance updates by gathering bank activity, reviewing treasury files, and distributing reporting to internal stakeholders.<br>• Monitor accounts that do not feed automatically into financial systems and complete the necessary manual updates to keep records accurate.<br>• Process mailed check activity, including coordinating deposits, scanning received payments, and assigning the appropriate accounting treatment for exception items.<br>• Record select transactions and journal entries by hand when activity falls outside standard automated workflows.<br>• Support corporate credit card administration, including setting up new cards and responding to employee issues related to card access or usage.<br>• Code payroll-related taxes and other entries for payroll activity handled outside the primary system environment.<br>• Export financial data into Workday and help maintain reliable data flow between treasury activity and accounting records.<br>• Assist with general treasury operations and banking administration within a small team environment to ensure timely and accurate processing.
