We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. As a key contributor, you will design, develop, and implement advanced data solutions to support business analytics and decision-making processes. This role requires a strong technical background and a collaborative mindset to drive innovation and optimize data platforms.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Design and implement dimensional and semantic data models to enhance business analytics and reporting capabilities.<br>• Develop and optimize data pipelines using modern orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory.<br>• Create and manage interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, ensuring accuracy and usability.<br>• Leverage Microsoft Fabric architecture to integrate centralized semantic models and external data platforms.<br>• Administer cloud-based data warehouses like Azure Synapse or Snowflake, ensuring performance and scalability.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data governance, quality frameworks, and compliance standards.<br>• Utilize Python and data science libraries to process, analyze, and develop machine learning workflows.<br>• Implement DataOps methodologies, including CI/CD practices and version control for data solutions.<br>• Conduct advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling to inform business strategies.<br>• Partner with stakeholders to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Responsibilities: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment on business needs and system capabilities. Lead and facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders. Translate business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications. Develop and maintain business requirement documents, process flows, and use cases. Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Create and manage Jira stories and tasks, ensuring traceability to business objectives. Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for proposed changes. Collaborate with QA teams to define test plans and support UAT activities. Analyze and document system integrations within the insurance ecosystem. Monitor and evaluate implemented solutions to ensure they meet business needs. Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations. Mentor entry level analysts and contribute to best practices in business analysis.
Professional Qualifications:<br>• 5+ years experience in IT as a Technical Business analyst/system analyst and created functional requirements for complex projects within the Insurance P& C domain.<br>• Good understanding of the underwriting process includes the policy lifecycle, coverages, endorsements, forms, rating, etc.<br>• Experience in working in Underwriting and Claims applications.<br>• Experience in data integration and data quality projects.<br>• Ability to work with technical teams (developers, architects, QA, infrastructure), business users and software vendors to document requirements on time<br>• Excellent understanding of how technology impacts the business.<br>• Excellent team player with a proven background of individual contribution.<br><br>Preferred Technical Skills:<br>• Insurance Policy Administration System experience (Duck Creek, Guidewire, etc.)<br>• Understanding of XML and/or JSON languages is a plus<br>• Strong SQL skills to query SQL databases
