Responsibilities include ensuring accurate accounting processes, producing timely reports, supervising team members, and supporting comprehensive budget preparation efforts.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Generate accurate and timely financial statements while coordinating audit schedules for multiple entities.</li><li>Assist in preparing debt service budgets, monthly cash flow projections, and cash position analyses across a large portfolio of properties</li><li>Manage intercompany payables, ACH disbursements, and self-held escrow accounts.</li><li>Open and manage new bank accounts as needed and prepare weekly cash reports for Treasury and senior management.</li><li>Oversee and reconcile all accounting transactions for corporate entities.</li><li>Provide auditors with aggregate schedules.</li><li>Record bi-weekly payroll and manage corporate credit card transactions.</li><li>Review distribution calculations and ensure accuracy for Controller and CFO approvals.</li><li>Manage staff within the property accounting department</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 8 recent years of experience in an accounting department, ideally within property management or a similar industry.</li><li>CPA designation highly preferred.</li><li>Prior experience in public accounting is a plus.</li><li>Strong proficiency with Yardi software is highly desirable.</li></ul>
