Key Responsibilities: Draft pleadings, orders, and court documents for probate and guardianship proceedings. Manage probate and trust administration processes. Assist clients in locating and collecting estate and trust assets. Evaluate asset-related documents for accuracy and potential exploitation. Prepare detailed accountings for guardianships, estates, and trusts. Coordinate asset transfers and trust funding in accordance with legal documents and client instructions. Communicate with financial institutions, accountants, and vendors to facilitate asset management. Update beneficiary designations for retirement accounts and insurance policies. Obtain tax identification numbers and maintain communication with the IRS. Oversee the collection and distribution of assets. Provide proactive client communication and follow-up. Support attorneys with discovery and litigation related to estate and trust matters.
