<p>Robert Half is recruiting an in-house Paralegal for the legal department of a national retail company headquartered in downtown San Francisco (hybrid telecommute). The Paralegal plays a critical role in assisting with the management of the active litigation caseload for the company. This is a unique opportunity to work with a very collaborative General Counsel team and has autonomy to work directly with outside counsel to resolve outstanding claims and ongoing lawsuits.</p><p> </p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>· Prepare, format, proofread, e-file, and serve pleadings;</p><p>· Calendar court dates, filing deadlines, and other important litigation docket dates;</p><p>· Help with propounding and responding to discovery and review and organize electronic document production;</p><p>· Assist with preparing factual summaries and medical treatment chronologies for cases;</p><p>· Serve on outside agencies and respond to subpoenas requesting record production; and</p><p>· Various administrative tasks, including administering the department’s e-billing software, answering emails and phone calls from outside counsel and other legal vendors, etc.</p><p> </p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>· 2+ years of recent experience as a litigation paralegal or legal secretary;</p><p>· Paralegal Certificate, or otherwise qualified to work as a paralegal under Calif.
