We are looking for a skilled Web Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining a large-scale online language assessment platform, ensuring accessibility and modern compliance standards are met. Based in Washington, District of Columbia, you will collaborate closely with a team of developers to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Update and optimize front-end code to align with accessibility and compliance guidelines.<br>• Utilize text editors to make precise changes to the codebase for improved functionality.<br>• Implement JavaScript solutions to enhance user interactions and behaviors.<br>• Conduct thorough accessibility reviews, including semantic markup, color contrast, and focus order checks.<br>• Validate compatibility with screen readers and keyboard navigation for seamless user experiences.<br>• Test and verify updates using Chrome developer tools, ensuring UI/UX integrity.<br>• Collaborate with developers and testers to identify and resolve bugs efficiently.<br>• Contribute to refining workflows for testing and accessibility improvements.<br>• Ensure consistent application of accessibility standards across all project deliverables.

• At least 3 years of experience in front-end web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.<br>• Proficiency in accessibility practices and implementing compliant web designs.<br>• Familiarity with tools like Chrome developer tools for reviewing and testing code changes.<br>• Experience with screen readers and keyboard navigation validation.<br>• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume tasks efficiently.<br>• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.<br>• Knowledge of WordPress development and ASP.NET is preferred.<br>• Experience working with structured workflows and defect management tools is a plus.
